Science degree in Occupational Therapy in 2008.

After graduating, Tiare spent her first two years of practice in Dunedin, New Zealand and worked as an OT supporting forensic adults with severe mental illness; to reintegrate them back into the community after long term rehabilitation. She then spent the next eight years in Calgary at Adult and Geriatric Community Mental Health, serving adults with challenging behaviours, as well as severe and persistent mental illness in their homes and in long term care. Tiare has developed a newfound passion for Paediatric Therapy, as she has experience working with children who are diagnosed with autism, as well as various mental illnesses and intellectual disabilities for the past two years. Therapies she is trained to offer are assessing and identifying individualized sensory profiles, integrating sensory modulation, interactive drawing therapy, skills training on improving executive functioning, improving fine motor skills, teaching life skills, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, establishing routine and identifying strengths to build upon.
